About This Place

Located in the heart of Elmwood, LA, Boulevard American Bistro stands out as an inviting destination for lovers of elevated American cuisine paired with a warm, vibrant atmosphere. This restaurant masterfully combines the classic charm of a steak house with the spirited energy of a cocktail bar, creating a versatile dining experience that suits everything from intimate dinners to lively group celebrations.

Their menu reads like a love letter to American comfort food but with a refined twist that elevates every bite. Signature dishes such as the succulent Hawaiian Ribeye, cooked to perfection and bursting with smoky sweetness, and the tender, richly marbled Filet Mignon demonstrate the kitchen’s commitment to quality and flavor. For those craving a hearty, savory feast, the Prime Rib with Loaded Baked Potato offers a sumptuous combination, while the famous Half Rack Barbecue Ribs deliver sweet, smoky satisfaction – though regulars should note a recent shift in rib style that may surprise true aficionados.

Start your meal with irresistible starters like the creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip—a luscious blend of Monterey Jack cheese and tangy salsa served with warm tortilla chips, or the delicately smoked and tender Deviled Eggs topped with hickory bacon crisps and a sweet pickle relish that create an explosion of textures and flavors. For seafood lovers, the Boulevard Oysters and Smoked Salmon Dip offer fresh oceanic delights perfectly complemented by house-made sauces.

this place is a really good spot to eat around the area. It’s on the higher end. The food is fresh and well portioned, but felt a bit flat. Our server Zack server was extremely polite and attentive. They have a good collection of alcoholic drinks including all the basics: old fashioned, margaritas. They have table, booth and bar seating, good for small and larger parties. Prices for entry are between 25+ - $30

For YEARS now, The Boulevard has always had THE BEST ribs around. Today that changed! After ordering I quickly found these were NOT the famous ribs! The baby back ribs have been replaced with St Louis ribs and they are NO COMPARISON!!! They were overdone, dry and no where near as tasty!

My husband and I went there last night and everything was amazing. Our waiter was a young man name Joshua, he was very good & professional. The Assistant General Manager Jamie was working that night and when I tell you guys She is a beautiful person on the outside and inside, she was very attentive making sure our Dinner was cooked right after a little confusion on how my Husband wanted his Steak cooked. The food came out Perfect, everything was hot and Fresh!! The Spinach Dip was Delicious it’s actually one of my favorites there. I had the Crab Cake with a Loaded Bake Potato and Key Lime Pie. We left there feeling full and happy!! We will definitely be back!

Had a birthday lunch for 15 today and it was perfect. Food was outstanding. The redfish tasted like they just pulled it out of the water. They are excellent with larger groups like ours. Our server, Mario, got every detail exactly right and was fun to have around. We all enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.

I loved the strawberry margaritas. The steamed broccoli and chicken were delicious.

Everything was great except the table is way to small in the two seater booth. We had to box our appetizer to make room and it was still crunched on the table with dinner plates, salad plates and drinks. Besides that my trout was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our waitress Layla P. was very attentive and friendly. We told her she is Super Server. She really was.
